To allow young people and students to acquire the knowledge of the ancient job of Fòcara’s builder.
To enable young people and students of all levels to gain the knowledge about the ancient job of Fòcara’s builder, in order to preserve this important figure to perpetuate the rite of Fòcara and ensure adherence to tradition.
These services will materialize in the disbursement of Educational workshops in which professionals and experts in education, will involve young people in a series of educational activities, workshops (games, illustrations, drawings, video presentations), designed and divided according to the boys ’ age and the level of education, organizing real practical exercises.
For example, the educational-workshop will interest:
- experimental laboratories of fire ignition, with a brief introduction on the importance of the discovery of fire and its history, then move on to the demonstration of ignition through audio-visual materials;
- a cycle of laboratories that provides for the construction of a small Fòcara with vine shoots (Fòcara’s original model).
- didactic moments related to fire and art through the creation of decorations related to the theme of fire.
In summary, the minimum works required to the competitor for the supply of this type of service, for each year of operation, are listed below:

- No. 3 educational workshops for pupils in Secondary schools
- No. 3 educational workshops for young people between 15 and 19 at the City Theatre
The competitors will be free to offer for each of the above target, the themes and exercises most appropriate to deal with during the workshops, of which those above represent some examples, considering the objective to make known in theory and practice the helpful fundamentals to pass on to the new generations the techniques of Focara’s building.
These services will also include the use of new technologies to reconcile adherence to tradition and modernity. It is expected the creation of a section in the web platform of the project through which upload the multimedia materials made during the workshops, any video and in general promote the various phases of the project.
